Company: GSG Architecture Project Type: Corporate office Construction Type: New construction addition My Role: Collaborate on design, document all meetings, coordinate engineers, draw and compile concept, schematic, design development, and construction drawings, document and assist in construction administration, final photography Challenges: This 44,000 sq ft addition of office space was a four story addition, including 3 stories that cantilever over an existing 1955 structure and connect to 1959, 1970, and 1977 structures. Existing foundation structures were reinforced, septic systems were removed, and all facilities were connected to city services. A ground floor server room was built to withstand a high water table, a helipad was added on top of the mechanical penthouse during design, and the design had to align with three different portions of the existing building with different structural systems and 5 different levels.
