Private Residence

Company: Independant Project type: Residential Construction Type: Interior Renovation My role: Project Architect, Concept Design through construction documents and construction administration, close collaboration with sub-contractors for high degree of finish details, final photography Challenges: The interior character was to remain close to original while doubling the size of the kitchen and opening the spaces up to each other. Kitchen walls were torn down, and the dining room arch was created to open up the space while the main bathroom was turned private for a master suite to condense the public space in the front of the house. Original woodwork was kept and restored where possible and patched or recreated where needed. The single car garage was also converted into a pantry and mud/laundry room.
